Why we make it
Matte Blaq Naturals is a minority-owned company based in Texas. We make beard and skin care for men who want their beard to look sharp and feel healthy, without the greasy shine.
Our products are built on plant oils and butters: shea and mango butter, jojoba, argan and sweet almond oil, African black soap to cleanse, and beeswax for hold. We keep the ingredient lists short enough to read, and we leave out sulfates, parabens, petrolatum, mineral oil and silicones.
Everything is made in small batches in the USA and designed to work together: wash to clear the way, oil to feed the skin, butter to soften the hair, balm to set the shape. Use one, or build the full routine in the scent you like best.
Our name says what we’re after: a matte finish. Beard care that does its job and doesn’t announce itself.
